Bought a Motorcraft 2150 carburetor to upgrade my Jeep and found the intake pipe was clogged. Cut the thread one size and installed an oversized fitting, but it was leaking. I looked on the internet, apparently a sealant is needed for conical threads. Several people in the high performance engine world have said that this is the only material they use to seal fuel lines. They said everything else leaked after a while, but it never leaked. If you want to analyze something that you have compiled from this material, be careful and check the site. You'll probably have to use heat to loosen it. And if you want to do it on a fuel line somewhere nearby, please give me a call. I want to film this event so I can post it on YouTube.
