Personally, the material was too thin for me and when it got wet I could see through it. Just because I have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis in my shoulders didn't mean I wanted to bother with removing my bathing suit top after I took off my shirt. I have to stay out of the sun because of some medications I have to take. I bought the XL size so I can get out easier when wet and the L size would be just right.
