It looks exactly like the picture except it looks bigger than it really is. Maybe there is a size in the description, I honestly didn't check. For a small child I think it's a decent size but not a decent size for my 4th grader. After I put the 3-ring folder and lunch box inside, there is no more space. The material looks ok, I would say a bit thin. Although my son loves it and is happy with it. How long that will take, who knows. He hasn't used it in a month. I'll update if it falls apart soon. Currently, it only contains one folder and one lunch box each day. I give 4 stars for the thickness of the material and the size.
