My washing machine broke down when there were a lot of clothes in it. The rinse cycle did not work and water remained in the machine. I ordered this siphon pump to help remove standing water. It worked great. The hose is narrow which made draining the water longer, but overall it did the job. The rubber tube and suction bulb are very strong and there was nothing to connect them. It was ready to use. There were no instructions in the kit, but everything is clear. The rubber hose was long enough to reach from a top-loading washing machine that sits fairly deep in the sink next to the machine to drain.
