It has quality components and gets the job done BUT it won't work without constant pumping unless the source you're pumping from is high enough relative to the recovery source. In my case I just emptied the snow thrower's gas tank (forgot to recycle the gas after last winter) so there wasn't enough height from the tank for recovery so I just had to keep pumping the rubber bulb until it was empty

I used this to pour a large can of denatured alcohol into a smaller container and it's a safer solution. Yes I can pour it but the container I use has a small opening and no proper spout so this hose worked perfectly. It's not the fastest device in the world, but for transferring what I need it's perfect. And it doesn't take up much space. The clamps feel pretty strong and I can transfer liquid in about a couple of minutes!

I understand it's for draining fuel but I bought a siphon for my winter pool cover. The kit I bought for this purpose was cheap and the bulb was cheap and didn't work well. I took a cheap lightbulb and clamped it onto a hose that had a weighted screen on the other end and pumped the lightbulb a few times and it didn't go out. It sucks great and works fantastic. The ID of this set is smaller, but even in this case it works fine.

I needed a pump that could self prime and then siphon free flow so I could dump various lawn equipment tanks into a larger gas cylinder. It takes this tiny pump EVER to empty a basic lawn mower.
