I glued a 3/4" Coosa Bluewater composite panel for my add-on control panel project and installed epoxy 12 hours into a solid bond. What happened after I applied the gelcoat was disappointing because the epoxy grout with reacted with the gelcoat leaving a sticky surface. At this point I tried wiping some of the epoxy catalyst off the other product in hopes it would help cure. If I hadn't had this reaction I would have given five stars .Update in 3 weeks. The catalyst I applied from another resin based product helped cure the sticky spots described above. In addition, the MFG rep recommended using System Three SB-112 when gelcoating over resin. I changed my opinion from 3 stars to 4 and also explained that if I didn't I would have given 5 stars experienced a reaction that could be caused by either the gelcoat or the T-88. Using the T-88 without gelcoat is a clear 5+. Customer support was very responsive. Update changed from 4 to 5 stars 3 months later! I have now installed the new hydraulic rudder and morse controls after installing the new aft deck console. He shows no signs of weakness. Very durable. I have since used the same gelcoat on the wheelhouse deck as well and the gelcoat showed some areas that did not fully work as previously this was only the case with the new epoxy cantilever joints. Not sure why so I've upped my rating to 5 stars and would recommend this epoxy to a friend.
