stopped a leak: my feedback

Just an at-homer who needed to stop an under the sink leak. Didn’t want to have maintenance come if I didn’t have to because of the pandemic and I have dogs and, it’s just a whole thing. You Tubed some options and landed on trying this. Took me a couple tries to find the leak to stop correctly but, once I did, this did the trick for me! Water isn’t leaking anymore! Only complaint I’d say was trying to get the dried silicone out of the spout from my first use. It’s not like it was rock hard or…

Pros
  • Served its purpose
Cons
  • Tube broke in use.

It'll make you crave bananas

Or do gorillas even eat bananas? I don't know, but this stuff will get the job done. I've only used if for outside applications. First was to add some extra seal to an antenna run around the rear glass window of my car for a scanner ("police scanner") antenna. Second usage was for some coaxial feed through bushings that you use to pipe coaxial cable though your external walls. So far, so good. But I did adhere (get it?) to the instructions not to apply this stuff under 40 degrees Fahrenheit. At

Pros
  • needed to use more than I expected but seemed to work
Cons
  • it did not reseal well most of it dried up and turned hard inside the tube

Best item to have in your tool box……

The best thing I have bought for a long time. Much easier to use than gorilla glue etc. ….and I buy a lot of things. I have used several sealants over the years, but this todate has been the best. Transparent, easy to use for caulking, sealing, fix my jewelry, fix my door handle. I have used this to fix everything that needed to put together. I will always have a tube in my box.

Pros
  • I love it
Cons
  • Limited shelf life once opened

Used on shower drain

This stuff works great. I used it to seal around the top of my shower drain. Before trying this I used other 100% silicone and it only lasted about 3 weeks before it started pulling up. I applied this about 2 1/2 months ago and it's still going going strong. I live in a mobile home and it is really hard to get under it to fix it. If I have to reapply every once in a while it is still worth it. This is so much stronger than other silicones. It cures fast so be sure to smooth it out as soon as…

Pros
  • Great product, make sure to read all the info about the product.Does not allow you to paint over caulk
Cons
  • May not adhere well to wet surfaces

GREAT FOR GLUING SAWTOOTH PICTURE HOOKS TO CERAMIC TILE

I had read some place that this stuff worked great to adhere saw-tooth picture hooks to the back of decorative ceramic tile art for hanging on the wall. I had made about 100 jazz themed decorative tile for a customer who was going to be putting on a jazz concert and wanted to give her guests something to remember the day by. I had never worked with ceramic tiles before but got the hang of it quickly and really enjoyed creating these awesome tiles. At first she wanted the tiles to be coasters…

Pros
  • Waterproof, making it ideal for use in areas exposed to moisture
Cons
  • May cause allergic reactions in some individuals

large tube of crystal clear

use it to seal the kitchen sink,it is actually a large tube bigger than it looks.easy applicantion and I like its crystal clear.

Pros
  • Can be used for sealing windows, doors, and other openings, providing maximum security and insulation
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with certain types of siding material

As stated in my opening title, if you own a boat this is what you want. Boaters and fisherman like me, you know how bad we always need silicone for something and preferably clear silicone. You can use this stuff in the rain or any other time that you want to. It has sticking power to hold in place even if it's over head, yet it's not messy. I went ahead and picked up a couple of more after I paid too much at the store the first time. Don't hesitate to buy it, go ahead, you'll be absolutely…

Pros
  • Non-toxic and safe for use around children and pets
Cons
  • May not be able to withstand high levels of humidity

Great For Slipping Headbands!

I made my own No Slip HeadBands with a tube of this clear miracle cement. I’ve got a head of hair that for some reason headbands always slide off of, especially annoying when running & working out.So many times I ended a workout with the headband hanging off my PONYTAIL without me noticing. The headbands lined with rubber don’t even work, but they were a step in the right direction. This is the perfect rubber cement/silicone material for that. I squeezed a line of it around the inside of the…

Pros
  • Clear color ensures a seamless blend with any surface
Cons
  • May not bond well with certain metals

Gorilla makes excellent products

Since I'm getting sick of this lockdown pandemic, decided to recaulk the kitchen sink and do some other repairs. Removed everything to get it out of my way, cleaned everywhere the caulk would need to be and let it all dry. There aren't any instructions in the packaging anywhere so I just did what I thought I ought--cut the tip that comes with it in an angle and started caulking, using my fingers to even out the stuff to get a nice, smooth coverage all around the sink. Don't know if I should…

Pros
  • Perfect for use in bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas exposed to water and moisture
Cons
  • May not be able to withstand extreme levels of wind

It's Gorilla. - my new review

Like it or he will crush you. Actually, it is one of the best sealants known to man. Apply it to clean, dry joints and give it 10 hours to set. No more water leaks. It works on almost any type of surface.

Pros
  • ease of use.
Cons
  • Cannot be painted over once applied

It doesn’t last in my review

Good for temporary but it does not last. It peeled off around my sink. It’s also not all that easy to use. Careful not to get it on your fingers bc it is so hard to come off. It does dry clear and it worked well for around my sink in my rental.

Pros
  • Silicone Caulk
Cons
  • May not be able to withstand high pressure or heavy weight

Multiple use tube - my new review

Main complaint people had was once opened you couldn’t use it again. WRONG. There’s a cap and nozzle with a collar for tube to hold nozzle after use. Pop the cap back on, run a qtip down the nozzle to clean it out for next use. I’ve used my tube 5 times just fine. It’s ready for more uses.

Pros
  • Quick-drying, reducing the time and effort required for application
Cons
  • May not bond well to certain types of wood

Set in 30 minutes - my new review

This stuff rocks! It was waterproof set in 30 minutes and was easy to use. Kitchen sink was leaking fierce so I slapped some of this around the seals and it worked perfectly!

Pros
  • Cost-effective, offering excellent value for money
Cons
  • May cause skin irritation if not handled properly

Have not used the 2 products yet, but I do not foresee to have any issues based on past use of other purchases of Gorilla products. After delivery, I received an email request to rate delivery service, but only had 2 options, Great or Not So Great. I selected the latter thinking "Other” option would be available but wasn’t; I wanted to be able to add a comment that delivery arrived as expected, but was disappointed with revain’s overall service for this specific order. Moving forward I will…

Pros
  • Works great, holds.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for outdoor use in extreme weather conditions

My can is dry! good for me

I bought this sealant to stop a leak in my garbage can lid, which allowed rain water to get into my can. I was tired of dumping out water and flipping the can over to drain and dry it. I discovered the leak was because of small gaps where the lid handle connected to the lid. This sealant was the perfect solution. My garbage can is is now high and dry!

Pros
  • I caulked in my shower. It did exactly what it was meant to do.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to remove once applied

Revainrating 5 out of 5

So far so good good for me

Asked a friend of mine to feel me recaulk my shower. So I ordered two tubes of this just in case. He only used one bit I am keeping the second tube just in case. This is clear but it does come across as light gray in my shower. Which is fine. My walls are painted gray.Friend said it was easy to apply. Went on smooth and didn't burst the bottom of the tube. Smell was a bit strong though. Had to turn on the fan and run my air purifier on high four a while to clear it out.So far, it's holding up…

Pros
  • I have a tile shower that needed caulking repair. This worked great!!!
Cons
  • Can be expensive compared to other caulks and sealants

Silicone expires quickly

Be careful to ensure your silicone hasn't expired. I bought this stuff a year ago to seat in some new spa jets in my spa. It worked great and sealed all 6 spa jets. 1 year later, I used the remaining silicone that was sealed in it's original packaging to replace two other spa jets and the silicone didn't harden. Once I filled the spa, it leaked. I didn't realize silicone expired that fast but confirmed it when I put the silicone on a papertowel and it didn't go tack free or harden. Rather…

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting, ensuring the seal remains strong for years
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in areas with high levels of vibration

Waterproof and easy to use

I used this sealant to fill in a narrow gap between the faucet and the wall on my bathroom sink. The nozzle is long, and you can adjust the length and thickness of the sealant output by cutting the tip to your needs. It does have a pretty strong odor, but this is to be expected with sealants, and venting the space will eliminate the smell. It is waterproof as advertised and is great for bathroom, shower or kitchen situations.

Pros
  • Sealed up strong, clear and super easy to apply.
Cons
  • Limited color options available

Great product but stinks real bad

Great product gets the work done but beware of the smell. I found it unbearable initially. Also don’t use your fingers to get the excess off. The product doesn’t come off soap and requires rigorous rubbing of fingers with paper towels

Pros
  • WON’T YELLOW, SHRINK OR CRACK
Cons
  • May not adhere well to surfaces that are constantly exposed to water

  • We used this to seal a mouse entry hole to our under the sink cabinet. No more mice!!
Cons
  • May crack or shrink over time
