The supplier listed the 8663RM as the one it would fit and after checking the Nutone website which had no information on the 8663RM I decided to order it. There were a few fans that were getting old and freezing so I ordered a few. The first was very tight for the fan power connector and didn't go all the way as the metal pushed the connector up. I finally figured out the problem and found that the slot that allows this to happen was misaligned by about 5mm. Fully replaceable fan assembly. If your fan assembly has this part number, it is a replacement connector. No special skills or tools are required. EDIT: I read a few other reviews so thought I should add some info. You may have to climb a ladder and stretch overhead. It would be a good idea to turn off the device. This was a simple replacement for a 14 year old bathroom exhaust fan. All tabs and screws fit perfectly. The fan works very well. We have a bathroom fan that I installed in 1987. I would replace it entirely but I couldn't find one as good as the one we have. This is the second engine replacement ever.
