This tape smells like Juicy Fruit gum. It has a light to medium tack power. It measures .20mm thick, which is slightly thicker than regular 3m Black Duct tape (.17mm). The tape is exactly 1.975" wide. The revealed side of the tape is made of a tough, almost plastic or rubbery material. The sticky side is white and has a woven fabric core sort of thing going on similar to classic duct tape, though the fabric fibers are only visible on the seam of the tape. I have a roll of gaffers tape from doing cabling etc., and this product is not that. As others have noted, it is thinner (not a real big deal), but the adhesive quality basically sucks - it resembles cheap masking tape in adherence. While it doesn't leave a residue, that's not a surprise give the adhesive quality. You do get what you pay for, and while this roll met my needs at the time, I wouldn't trust this tape to adhere to anything over a day.

What's different from real gaffers tape is that it's thinner, and it is stickier like duct tape.I used this 4" tape to hold down grass carpet for 24 hours for a scene. It worked great on vinyl tile and on ordinary carpet. No residue left behind. I prefer this tape to duct tape because it is more abrasion resistant and lasts longer in warm to hot conditions Thanks for attention.

I had some Gaffers tape that worked really well and when I ran out. I decided to. Try this kind. Much to my surprise it doesn’t stick very well. Ended up having to go back and buy the brand I had before.

I've been a DJ for over two decades, and a theatrical tech for 25 years. Gaff Tape is the number one "tool" in my bin, and this stuff is perhaps the best I've ever used.The texture and shine is perfect, easy to tear by hand, and the perfect stickiness on the surfaces you want. Excellent grip to carpet, and easy to remove if it wraps around a cable while pullin it up.I'm only giving 4 stars because I can't find this brand in any additional colors in size. Would love a 3-inch version. But

It was very quick from when I ordered until I received the product. Everything was better than I expected. Since I received only a couple of days ago I have not used the tape, so cannot comment on the quality of the product, but ordering and receiving it was flawless and I fully expect the product will meet my expectations as well.

This stuff is the real deal. I purchased it to use with my photography gear so I wouldn’t leave tape residue on my lenses or tripod. It has worked flawlessly and I will definitely purchase again. The roll is pretty big and should last me a year for my needs. If you’re nervous about duct tape residue, buy this gaffers tape. Very sticky, no tape residue when it’s removed and a nice matte black color.

I’ve had other gaffer tape that will stick to my concrete floor without pulling up the stain color. This one will not! It will pull your color right off the floor so don’t use it for that.

I am quite happy with this gaffers tape, it sticks well, comes off easy and is priced right. I am on my third roll and delivers have always been on time. I am a studio photograph doing both stills and video and use this tape in the studio and on location to hold a little bit of everything that doesn't require permanent tape. Taping cords to the floor, taping background taught and even doing a tempory repair on the bracket for one of my studio flash units. it's tough.

When I first saw this tape, I thought it was going to be extremely durable and be "better than duct tape" but I was wrong. It didn't stick to my surface very well and it took multiple times of getting on my knees to push it all down multiple times before it stuck. The problem with this "gaffers tape" is that it is too easy to remove. It doesn't want to stick to anything. I wrapped a few strands of wires together but the tape began to loosen from itself after a few days. Gave it to the kids and went back to using electrical tape.

Lots of tape for not too much money. Sticks really well. It doesn't seem to tear as easily as Duck brand tape though.Just a warning, I recommend not using this on painted wooden trim. Took the paint right off the wood when I removed it! Thankfully it was in fairly bad shape anyway.

This has been the best gaffers tape purportedly church production team has ever purchased. The price is excellent for the quantity & quality!

Forget trying to wrap wires tightly enough to stay together. It unravels quickly. If you tape it down flat it will stay for a few hours. If you're putting it on anything with an uneven surface, you will br extremely lucky for it to stay on there for more than a few minutes.

Really though, its gaffers tape as a DJ I need it to do a couple of things:1: hold my cables to the floor to prevent people from tripping.2. Easily come uo from the floor when its timr to tear down.3. Dont leave a residue on the floor or peel oaint/varnish.This gaffers tape did all 3 with flying colors and with the cost you can easily get white and black to match any venue your are working in. I buy this stuff pretty regular and try ti ha e 2 rolls on hand at any time. This is a great buy.

I'm a professional DJ and we also operate a photo booth. We go through a lot of tape. This tape peels and tears easily from the roll. It adheres well to whatever task we're using it for and doesn't leave any gummy residue after peeling it back up. I can highly recommend this tape.
