Disappointed with wireless handheld microphones

I'm sorry but I connected the microphone to the speaker and suddenly my speaker burned out and now it doesn't work. .I don't have my nice big speaker. Why do I have a microphone?

It did not come with a way to charge it so once it went dead my daughter could no longer use it.
