This is a great bag at an affordable price. If you're looking for a quality leather case then look no further, but for $60 it's a lot better quality than I expected. The skin is fine. (which will never split) but has a nice sheen without being too shiny and will likely soften over time. However, the craftsmanship is very impressive. I've seen many expensive bags with uneven stitching, frayed handles and straps, and crude zippers. On the bag I received the stitching is as perfect as I've seen, the rivets and hardware seem solid. and the zippers and edges are beautifully smooth. As others have mentioned, it has a slight smell, but not as strong as some claim. If you hold your nose within inches of it you will smell a chemical smell, but I expect it will go away pretty soon. I use it as a work bag/bag for laptop, cables and mouse as well as a large clutch when you don't want to carry the whole bag but still have room for things like an umbrella or books. The straps are quite narrow, they look nice, but I don't want to carry a heavy laptop in them over long distances. Overall, the bag is very attractive, functional and of good quality for the price. Only time will tell as to durability, but given the obvious workmanship I'm optimistic. Also, there are other brands of bags in this style that some people seem to confuse with this one, including in reviews. This one is leather, has an external rear pocket with Zipper closure and a long shoulder strap so if ews says otherwise I'm guessing they bought a different bag.
