Review on Compostable Biodegradable Wild Leaf Tableware by Lakeisha White

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Glad we took the risk - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I bought these plates for a small wedding in November. We were on a budget and a record rental fee was just out of the question. But we didn't want to compromise by having a simple and elegant event. We researched "high quality" plastic sheets but ended up finding they just looked cheap. I never knew they existed until they turned up on a Revain search for "disposable plates." I was fascinated. My fiancé was skeptical. I read all the reviews carefully and thought it was worth the risk to at least order to see how they look live. And they really looked like the picture. Our wedding had Persian food (like heavy rice and kebabs) so we wanted to make sure the plates were as solid as the reviews made them out to be. After receiving them, we were pretty sure we had a winner. We both. The Defiant has been defeated. They were large (perhaps the square size made them look a bit bigger than a regular round plate?) and perfect for long kebabs, and we were fairly certain they would be strong enough. We only opened one pack to test because the reviews suggested they might be moldy (like a natural product). However, we found that in the package we opened there were about 5-6 plates that could not be used due to cracks. It didn't bother me that much because that's what I expected (from the reviews and because it's a natural product) but what bothered me was that I didn't want to open the rest to see how many of them for reasons I've mentioned it before, but I definitely didn't want an 11 hour disaster if we didn't have enough when we REALLY opened it. I contacted the seller who responded very quickly and in detail. She sent us extra packaging "just in case", which put my mind at ease. She also gave advice on storing the packages we opened to avoid problems. In the end they were a hit. We've had enough (with an extra pack) and they've held up great (even with some people who've gone to the buffet a few times). We didn't originally intend to go this route, but for us, this way of shopping created a lasting theme for the wedding as a whole. The result is an organic, beautiful, natural design with olive branches, rosemary and fresh lavender to decorate the tables and our cakes. Other items were eco-friendly as well, with the exception of the cutlery (bought cheaply then donated to a local charity). We've received a number of questions and compliments about them. And the best? Cleaning was a breeze! I would buy them again at any time and can only recommend them. They are beautiful (I'm not sure a plate can be "beautiful" but it seemed to me), unique and won't sit in a landfill for 945 years. What's not to love? Look, some get hacked. They are not plastic and anything can happen. But they're so affordable that it would be easy to buy an extra backup pack to have on hand. Customer service was phenomenal, which is a rarity these days.
