I love this thing! I have a double asymmetric sink and most baskets above the sink seem too wide to sit comfortably on the smaller side (basket sides usually rise at a slight angle). I hate the dish rack on the counter because it takes up so much space. Drying cloth rugs take up space and need to be washed, and yet I never feel clean after sitting wet all day, then drying, then getting wet again, picking up lint and dust. I'm just not a fan. . This retractable stand is perfect. I can't stack tons of dishes on it due to its smaller size (this size is perfect for my sink but they make big ones) but if it were bigger I'm sure it could handle the weight of some pans. I was afraid it would look gaudy with rubber ends (I bought stainless steel with black ends), but it actually looks pretty smooth with my dark granite countertops. What I love most is how easy it is to roll up (about the size of a plastic wrap or foil box), stay rolled up, and store in a drawer with my cutlery or kitchen towels. No mess!
