A really great lens. As everyone else has said, f/1.2 and 1.4 are very soft. You will only find these holes useful in certain situations. Wide open, it creates an ethereal, dreamy, film-like image with vignetting. At f/1.8, images are razor sharp and deliver the image you'd expect from a digital camera. I personally like the looks of the 1.2, but not everyone appreciates its otherworldliness. Don't buy this for extra light, only buy this if you want a ruffled effect. I think I would choose version 1.4 if I knew better. Simply because it would be cheaper and with autofocus. But hindsight is 20/20. Still a WONDERFUL lens!
