My regular nursing pads were sold out and these were the closest thing I had so I tried the box. They appear to be the same size and shape as the Medela but are thinner and I think they could breathe a bit more thanks to the honeycomb design. Thinner pads aren't always good, however, as they tend to bunch up more often and are harder to replace when I only have one hand free to position items. Despite their thinness, they seem to hold quite a bit of liquid. To give you an idea, I usually bleed about a full ounce into the nursing pads I've recently bought for nursing use. It is placed between the breast opposite to that from which the baby is feeding and also catches the discharge from the breast from which he is feeding, which is too difficult for the baby at the moment. Before the arrival of the nursing pads I was using Nuby pads which I had already been wearing for over 2 hours before each breastfeed to catch all the milk and they kept them perfectly between 2 pads. Glad I tried these as they are a good option when my regular pads are out of stock.
