Review on 🔑 Convenient Keyless Entry Remote Starter Car Key Fob Alarm Pack for Viper Automate EZSDEI474V 474V (2-Pack) by Justin Herman

I'm hesitating between them and the original Viper remote (which would have cost the same, only 1). What worried me the most was that there might be a problem with the programming. After giving it some thought I came to the conclusion that the programming is actually a function of the alarm itself and really couldn't imagine how a simple 4 button remote would do that. So I threw the dice at them. I was given incorrect information about the instructions and programmed them incorrectly the first time (more below). As a result, I had to remove and reprogram all remotes. The reason I mention this is to emphasize that the original remote's programming was exactly the same as theirs. The only downside I see is that the remote doesn't last as long (I'll get them for half price anyway) or you're really fixated on seeing the viper at the bottom of your remote. I have 650VX. To program the remote, the remote must: 1. open the car door 2. turn the key in the ignition to the "on" position 3. press the valet button X times (on my running board) .4. AFTER you press X times, hold it (for example, if X=7, press 7 times, then press and hold for the 8th time)5. Press the "Arm" or "Lock" button on the remote control.6. Turn off the ignition and remove the key. I've seen instructions for my alarm that X=8, but it still programmed the 'lock' button to both lock and unlock (this applies to 3 button remotes). Another source reported that X=7 for remotes with separate 'lock' and 'unlock' buttons (ie 4 button remotes like this one) that worked. If for some reason you prefer one button lock and unlock (3 button functionality), everything works fine with these 4 button remotes. You can also program different remotes as 3 button or 4 button if you have multiple riders with different preferences (I happened to have had them that way for a while and they all worked as long as they were programmed differently). If you have a problem use X=9 and it will remove all remotes so you can start over. With the above I was able to go outside, remove all my remotes and reprogram them in less than 5 minutes. With that in mind, I see no reason not to buy these two remotes instead of the originals for the same overall price.
