First, you should pay attention to which smartphones this adapter works with. When I ordered it I had an LG 30 that was on the list. After getting a soon to be expiring contract with my carrier (Verizon), I traded it in for a Samsung S21, a newer phone not listed. Needless to say, the HDMI connection didn't work. Luckily I still have an old LG G5 that works even though it's not set up for calls. When I connected the Casolu TCO56 to this and then to the HDMI input of my receiver, which is connected to my TV, it worked perfectly. So check if your phone is compatible. One more thing; Streaming from your phone requires a lot of battery power. This device has a "C" connector that you can plug in for power. However, no cable or plug is included. I saved a device that I will use with my old LG to stream to a TV I have that has nothing but an indoor antenna. I haven't tried the USB connection.
