Review on Radar detector SilverStone F1 Sochi Z by Agata Roguska ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I thought it would be better, but overall not bad.

It was bought about a year ago to replace the already outdated Supra Ig68vst, which got false positives. The first thing I didn't like was the extremely quiet speaker. Alas, an ajar window at a speed of 100+ mph almost completely drowns out speech (it stands in the area of the rear-view mirror) and radar signals, similarly in the case of music. The second disappointment is ates, or rather the mechanism of these. When you connect the usb cable to detect the connection, you have to wait 30-40 seconds at least, this is annoying. The third is an extremely unstable schedule for publishing database ates. Sometimes on Monday, sometimes on Thursday, which was also annoying. But ok, you can live with all this and lived until this week. With the latest firmware ates, a frank heresy began to happen with the work of the RD - I began to see half of the cameras (which are in the database) on the M8 "by mood" - that is, it is silent on the camera for several days, and then one day warns. I note that despite the silence from the RD (I repeat - there is a camera in the database) the camera works (checked for 250;) ). Ok, I already know the cameras on the home-work route, without RD (and if my trips were limited only to this route, I wouldn’t take RD), but it’s not interesting to guess what, where and for how much he will ignore , that's why it goes to the shelf (maybe someday silverstone will be able to bring the device to mind - then I'll present it to someone I know), but for now I can't even advise the enemy.

Pros
  • Relatively inexpensive, with the latest firmware versions, good functionality.
Cons
  • ates, the work of the RD itself, the latest firmware versions.
