My friend bought a used PSP after seeing I had one and needed a charger. After purchase, the one I received wasn't official, but it tried to look like it. Compared to my official Sony charger, the device that the power cord plugged into was much larger and had a cheaper plastic case with a blurry, fuzzy label with the Sony logo in the wrong font. I used a multimeter to test it and it still had the correct polarity and 5VDC so it was usable. I plugged it into my PSP and it worked, but when unplugged, the yellow plastic tip came loose and got stuck. I had to bend the tip of a sewing needle to get out a piece of plastic that was stuck inside the PSP. It still works and I think that's really all that matters. But how long.
