adapter seems to convert HDMI signal from 4k camera to VGA on old monitor. However, the housing is poorly made and that makes me doubt the life expectancy of the electronics. The case makes it very difficult to tighten the screws. When tightening the screws, the 2 halves of the housing come loose. As always, duct tape fixed the problem, but do you really need duct tape for your new electronic gizmo? Luckily it's hidden behind the monitor.
