I like the capability to padlock the two storage areas, and the capability to secure the bag to a large, sturdy object (even though I doubt I would ever do that). The two side pockets for water bottles and umbrellas should be deeper, or have straps further up to keep items from falling out. The main compartment should have a zippered, mesh pocket like the secondary compartment does. Overall, it is a good daypack for everyday carry items or day trips. (That's what I use it for.) I would use a larger backpack for traveling.
