Great jacket: Dogs

I was looking for a jacket with legs and harness and wanted to order 2 (of different sizes and colors) for my two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. I wanted the legs in the jacket to cover the feathers on the legs because it collects a lot of snow that I can't get off and just have to wait for it to melt. This makes for quite a mess and I would assume the dog has caught a cold. Having a harness attached is much more convenient than having to put on a harness and then thread the leash through a hole in the back of the jacket. This jacket meets both requirements. However, the legs are not long enough to reach the top of the dog boots. But there's still enough coverage to really help with the snow problem. With the harness, you can just attach the leash and get started. Another thing I love about this jacket is that it has a zip closure at the back. There were a couple of other jackets that closed at the belly and I thought it would be very difficult to try to close them because his long hair would get caught in the velcro. This jacket is very easy to put on. I ordered this in red for my tri color male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (16-17 lbs) to try. The size was a bit small. I was just about to order a smaller size Hot Pink for my small (12lb) Blenheim Cavalier bitch. The red turned out to be too dense for a large dog, so I use it for a small one, even though it's not pink. The red is actually a bit orangey, it's not my favorite red but it's too uncomfortable to bring back, other than that I like the jacket. The orange color actually goes well with her Blenheim coloring, which is why I chose her hair color rather than her gender. Just ordered a larger size in black for a tri color male Cavalier so we can tell which jacket is which. We recently took a short trip to Jackson, Wyoming for a few days and it was very cold and our little one seemed quite comfortable in her little down jacket and boots. It was very easy to put on and take off as were the jackets. I'm looking forward to getting a black one for my other dog just in time for the snow here. This year they will get more walks because I can control the chaos. I don't usually take them out that much in the winter because they have so much snow in their hair, so we clear a path in the snow in the backyard and that's where the puppies go potty. It often takes many local residents a day or two to clear sidewalks (if that at all), and when we get back-to-back snowstorms, neighborhood walks really get restricted. I look forward to walking on it this winter, even after all the sidewalks have been cleared.
