I find it very difficult to find a durable watch. Granted, I usually look at watches from Walmart or a similar place, but when you get lucky with watches that only seem to last a few minutes, you're afraid to spend more money even for expensive watches. Batteries used to run out quickly but my last two watches have had a broken strap including this one while the battery was working. I loved this watch. It's so pretty and dainty, with a small dial and small link bracelet, that no matter how small it is, I can still slip my whole hand into it without undoing the clasp. I liked the white and silver links. I wore it every day and admired how it fit on my small wrist. And then one day the first link next to the top of the clock where the number twelve is broke while I was out shopping. Fortunately, I noticed this immediately and wasn't embarrassed. I received the watch on January 4th and it broke around early to mid March. I work as an accountant and was too busy during tax season to call support or take any action. But it broke at least a month ago if not more so it only lasted about three months. I'm heartbroken I want to wear a watch and I want to wear this one. I saw a very similar watch at a friend's house many years ago and thought about it for several years before trying to buy it. I paid about $60 for it so it's not cheap in my opinion. I don't think I'll try to fix it because I don't think it will hold up to everyday wear. Instead I'll see if I can find a thin white leather cuff and then attempt to attach a watch to the leather cuff so I can enjoy it but still keep her from supporting the weight of the limb.
