I try very hard to like this watch

I try very hard to like this watch, I really do. Pros: The clock seems to show the exact time. Easy to wear, not too bulky, not too small. The trouser clip on the chain is tight and holds well. Cons: I'm not a fan of the plastic dial but I knew it was happening and the main reason I made sure it was a closed watch. The body scratches easily. It only went from a light glossy finish to a slightly matte finish after fingering my jeans in my watch pocket. I also noticed that the silver finish on the chain was peeling and the copper colored base metal was starting to show through. I bought this watch for work, home renovation, and home carpentry so I didn't have to deal with my wristwatches being a nuisance when putting your hands in tight spaces, putting on gloves, or doing aggressive demo work. The watch looks great right out of the box, keeps time well and seems to serve the needs I bought it for. As for durability, note that this is a sub-$40 pocket watch and doesn't quite match the size, finish, and durability of a $150 watch. But I won't cry if he has an accident at work either. Be mindful of what you buy and I think you will be fine.

Pros
  • understandable even for the old ones
Cons
  • not everything fits
