I was looking for a bag for a three-week trip to Europe. I liked the fact that it was two bags in one so I could carry a backpack if needed but mostly so I could share my flight gear on the plane. While the concept of the bag is really cool, the fact that the duffel is what straps to the backpack puts the center of gravity much further back than would be comfortable. I switched to an Osprey Porter 46 at the last minute and was really very happy with this purchase. The Osprey Ozone seems great for those who want a full-size backpack and compact holdall, but don't fit. Don't plan on carrying a connected pair, except for short periods of time (i.e. plan on carrying a holdall with a shoulder strap, except perhaps when attempting to board a plane with a strict "one carry-on bag" rule ). FYI - Bags I also bought and reviewed for travel before settling on the Porter including the Fjallraven Travel Pack (insufficient carry support and less warranty), Osprey Farpoint 55 (too large), Osprey Transporter (insufficient carry support ) and Osprey Farpoint 40 (good, but Porter is better for my organizational needs).
