If I had to say something, I would.

This bag has it all! From dense fabric to reinforced clips. I would take all of that and more to bed with me, but my wife would kill me.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Hard to say

Don't worry - a fatal design flaw

I really liked the North Face Surge backpack, it lasted many years and I got this one instead. What a mistake, the backpack, no matter what's inside, never sits on the ground, it always falls forward. The rigid backplate will pull down too far and if placed on the ground it will lose its balance and tip over. I understand why they designed it that way to protect the laptop, but that's a serious downside. One of the photos of the backpack is deceptive, it appears to be upright, but it isn't.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Wonderful. Take the time to read and if you have any questions, shoot!

Anyone who complains about this backpack is likely to complain about many other things in their life. This is such a well made, versatile backpack that I use for work, travel, camping, hiking and more. It's absolutely amazing, not too big, not too small. The back is solid, which is great since I carry my laptop on the very back to work almost every day. I love it. The front pocket has several compartments as well as a special fleece pocket for sunglasses so they don't get scratched. If you are…

Durable for bags, cases and suitcases

The last NF Recon I bought was about 10 years ago. I have never bought a backpack at this price but it was worth it! This backpack is a replacement and after daily use I can say a new one will last another 10 years. The straps are very comfortable and well padded. These main straps are well stitched and can bear a lot of weight (easily 15-20 kg). The chest straps fit well and help relieve the strain. The new laptop bag is well lined and easily accessible. The main pocket feels a bit smaller…

Space for almost everything and with comfort

Excellent backpack. I repurchased these [trade to replace my NorthFace Borealis. what was stolen. I have had a Borealis for 12 years and have used it in grad school and on day trips. He was still in good shape. The Recon is slightly larger and has more padding specifically for your laptop, protecting it better than the Borealis. The shoulder strap is sufficiently padded and there is a front buckle on the chest. There is flexible ventilation at the back which is more rigid and creates…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • The cord is shorter than other sets

I bought this bag primarily for travel, my previous bag was a 2010 REI Trail 25. I chose this bag for its capacity and organized bag storage. I travel a lot for work and it's important to be organized when travelling. Pros: I like the size and shape of most zippered pockets, and the zippers are strong with zippers that are easy to grab even in cold weather. , wet hands or gloved hands. The large compartments easily fit a laptop, iPad and power supply unit. Cons: The configuration of the bag…

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Ok

Little did I know that Northface decided to ruin their product by cheapening the material. Previously, older models used higher-quality nylon, but this year's model uses cheaper and less durable polyester. Not only is the material inferior, but the overall design is pretty terrible. The back of the backpack looks pretty awful with a big hard board in the pocket. I don't really understand what the point of this is, other than bulletproof for military use. It's not something that can easily…

  • Certified

  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Honest review good for computers and accessories

While this backpack fits nicely in my everyday bag, there are a few minor points that I think anyone buying this bag should be aware of. be in class. Please read this entire review. Pros 1) This bag is very convenient and versatile. Additional straps make it indispensable when carrying heavy loads or long journeys. The padding on the back is sufficient, the material is quite durable, with good seams, but the elastic mesh still retains its elasticity. The lower part is particularly impressive…
