Seriously, this thing is awesome. I can't believe the amount of detail, clarity and soundstage my music and games have now. You don't need drivers on Windows or Linux; it just works. A word of caution: do not use different "filters” for PCM (FL1-6); Just leave it at FL1 or you'll lose some of your high end and the sound will be slightly compressed. Oh, and don't worry about the power; There are now two options: a power adapter, which works great, or split USB cables (one for power and one for signals, in which case you can use a powered USB hub for cleaner power). If you download Windows drivers from SMSL website on a whim, your device will stop working. Go to Device Manager and open the new problematic unknown USB device and run the automatic driver search and you are done. But again, just don't install drivers because it works fine without them.
