At first it charges via USB cable but once you fix it to the wall or ceiling the adhesive strip already on it is sick then good luck to you. In order to charge it you have to remove it from the existing wall/ceiling - this will destroy the adhesive strip on the back making it useless if you want to put it back where it was. The adhesive strip no longer works. So you need to change it if you want to use it on the wall. Also, it's not as bright as advertised, even when fully charged. The USB cable is so short that you really need to keep it close to the charging station. .I had high hopes for it but I regret buying it. I already threw the package away, otherwise I would have returned it long ago. It's not worth the price I paid for it.
