Good Gloves - Gloves

I washed dishes 40 hours a week and used these gloves because water and pots can be very hot. I giggle a little when someone warns me that the plate is hot because these gloves never wear out. Sometimes I need to quickly carry the pan to the sink but these are things that sizzle on contact with water and I'm really impressed with their heat resistance as they are very thin. have very good puncture resistance. I've been stabbed many times with a wooden stake (the kind used for hamburgers) and my gloves have never been damaged. I'm not worried about picking up broken glass as these gloves definitely handle it. As I work in the plumbing industry I also wash them in the washing machine between uses in a mild bleach solution and then hang dry (which works best if they are turned inside out for a day and then turned inside out at least a couple of times ). hours before use). This seems to work well, although I can't stress enough that there isn't that much bleach that will ever clean them again after exposure to grease or spices (like cast iron). I tried cotton flock gloves for extra comfort. because these gloves can sweat profusely, but after trying this cleaning procedure on them and realizing that turning them inside out is almost impossible, I quickly threw them away and went back to these. I bought probably 5 packs, can't really blame a few for dying. They get a lot of use and I'm sure they will last longer in home use. There are days when I put them on and take them off 50 times. but I have learned that they have a fatal flaw whereby tears can and do appear in creases around the base of the fingers. Somehow this always happens when I don't even do anything to damage them (i.e. they don't get caught or pushed by anything). I've probably thrown away three pairs (or at least one glove from a pair) in the last few months because I spontaneously tore during the shift. I wish they were a bit thicker and I have a feeling that might improve the shelf life issue, but I'm not sure how thick they can be made before losing the ability to detect tiny bits of food stuck to the plates stick (you'll be surprised how useful it actually is). I can find better gloves that stand up to heavy use, but they certainly have enough bonuses, so I'll definitely keep buying them until (unless I can find something better).
