Review on PowerA Charging Station Xbox One White by Jen Rose

The PowerA charging station looks great but I sent it back a few days later. I bought this along with the Xbox One PowerA Play & Charge Bundle as both items are compatible with each other. Miscellaneous. As other reviews have mentioned, getting the controller in the right position can be tricky, but I've found that pressing the top of the stand to dock and undock works much better than pressing the controller itself. In three states;- No light . There is no controller or it is incorrectly installed (which will often be the case) - Solid red. Loading.- Green steady light. loaded. The charging cradle I received had an additional feature: - Slightly darker red buzzing light (not continuous flashing, more like a short circuit) when there was no controller on the cradle. It only happened on the left side. I've seen comments that a flashing red light means the battery isn't installed properly. Due to the design of the controller and the battery, it is impossible to misplace this battery and put on the battery cover. You can only see the LED indicators when the stand is at eye level or you are a few feet away from it. Frame. I had this charger on top of a 2 foot high media center, so I had to lean back or step back a few feet to see the LED lights. It's difficult to get the controller right, and the LED lights are the only way to say it would be better if the lights were somewhere else. Despite the defective light, the stand seemed to charge the included batteries fairly quickly. and the battery life seemed fine. Slightly better than my 4 year old PDP/Energizer charger/batteries but a far cry from the XBox's plug and charge batteries. When used with the orange PowerA Play & Charge Kit batteries, it seemed to charge the batteries but generated a lot of heat. The back of the controller itself was hot and when I removed the battery from the controller it was too hot to touch. Due to the faulty LED lights, complicated installation and docking process, and heat issues, I felt that I couldn't trust this item that it wouldn't melt my controller and burn my house down. Pros: - Looks great. - Compatible with other PowerA items. Push down for docking/undocking concept - LED indicators are not easy to see when the stand is several feet below eye level.
