charges very quickly! My son used AA batteries like they were going out of style. I probably spent about $100 on Xbox only batteries for my son and daughter. I bought two of these and they are AMAZING! They come with rechargeable batteries and a plate for the back of the controller. My son was able to play for 5 hours, plug it in and in about 20 minutes it's charged and ready to play! so great! ***UPDATE*** After 9 months of daily use the charger is no longer working efficiently. I started noticing that the red light started blinking rapidly as if the connection was missing. Looking through the reviews it seemed like there was a mix of positives and negatives. But I took a chance on the cookie and damn it, I'm happy with it. In the time I've used them, I've probably changed about 16 sets of batteries. (Several people in my house play an Xbox, so it's basically always on).
