This is a review of the PowerA Charging Dock (Black) for Xbox One. Summary - Ever since we bought our Xbox One, more and more batteries have been popping up like there's no tomorrow. I even decided to switch to Energize Lithium in hopes it would curb the controller's appetite. While lithium batteries offered longer playtimes, they were expensive and I had no intention of continuing to use them. It works AMAZING well! Although there was little documentation, I found that a full charge takes around 2.2 hours. It uses a Ni-Mh 2.4V battery with a capacity of 1100mAh. Our use of it will pay for the device in no time. I was also very happy when it arrived as it only weighed 0.6 pounds and NOT 250 pounds as stated in the product dimensions on the listing. Even though the reviews have gone up and down we haven't had any problems so far. We place the controller on top of the device, press it down, and when the light turns red-orange, we know it's charging. If it's green, it's fully charged and we just click on it to unfold it and not charge again. We never found a dead battery when using it and it has been 100% reliable from the time of purchase. Notes - Power adapter not included. You need to connect it to a Micro USB power source. While regular USB ports for PC devices will work, it's much slower and I've connected mine to a regular 2 amp USB phone wall charger with great results. As with all my reviews, I will update this review if there are any issues with continued use.
