Review on Mares Avanti Quattro Plus Open Heel Bungee Strap Diving Fin by Robert Wood

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great fins that handle midrange compromises well.

Very good fins. Produce more power but fatigue a little more than some other fin types. So if you're concerned about cramping or if you have the strength, then articulated or split fins might be the way to go. But if you're willing to put in the effort and feel your body can handle it, these fins will offer more bang for your buck. I believe these are the fastest fins I've tested in preparation for an 800 meter snorkel. Divemaster exam. I tested Tusa, Scuba Pro Seawing Nova and Hollis F1 split fins. These are the fastest of the group. I feel the Nova is better at delivering good traction while making you feel less tired. But if traction and speed are your goals, they will win. Conversely, these fins are good for alternate shots, but they're not as good as the Hollis F1. However, the F1 will tire you out even more than the Quattro Plus. So if you're looking for ample speed and low effort to flap, the Nova is great. If you need the flexibility to land multiple different kicks and need good speed, this is a good choice. And if you're looking for maximum flexibility and a little more physical exertion, and want to trade in a little speed efficiency, the F1 fins are great fins. All very good options in their own right, it all depends on what is important to the person and their needs as a diver.
