I often have neck problems and was curious to try this as I had tried other neck massagers. I've looked at other devices like this one and they advertised themselves as TENS massagers but this one didn't seem to say so on the product page but since it looked identical to the others I assumed it did. pretty small retail box. It has a device that can be worn around the neck, a small remote control, a charging cable, a few instructions and a couple of accessories (some kind of rubber thing that covers the metal pads on the device and a couple of gel packs). . I found the instructions poorly written so I had trouble understanding how everything worked. It was unclear, but it seemed like you could use the device alone for the "full" effect, or if you're a beginner you can put these gel pads on the device, or the average user, there's a rubber sheet you can you wear the metal part touching your throat to reduce the intensity. The gel packs that come with it claim to last 30 days and the instructions give the impression that they are intended for beginners so I skipped those and tried the rubber cases as they are said to be for intermediate users. When I tried the device I felt almost nothing, so I took it off and tried again. To use this, simply press and hold the power button on your device for 2 seconds. and then you can press + or - on the remote control to adjust the intensity, and there is an on or off button for the heater. It completes the program within 15 minutes. I think there might be a manual mode as well, but I just made an automatic program that went through it. It's like a TENS massager hitting your neck. The two metal pads that touch the neck are next to the spine and cannot be adjusted. The heating is very subtle - I couldn't even tell it was on, but that could also be because the instructions don't explain how it works very well. After doing the 15 minute program a few times I feel OK (hence the 3 stars). It's weird when you use it, nice when it's over. I would love to be able to include other parts of the neck/shoulders and wish the directions were a bit better.
