There were just too many unrealistic parts in this book. when the people get kidnapped and kept in plastic barrels for days.? I would guess being cramped up like that doesn't play into the rest of the story.The ending did have a great twist, but that was ruined by how unrealistic it was. I ass use cops would search every inch of a house they entered.Close to being good, but the second half was painful.

Mitch Cannon is a great family man.(son, brother and uncle) He's also a homicide detective. When family and career collide it's a fast paced chase to set things right. This is the first on a new series to follow.

Not bad. I started this one day because I was bored, but then I couldn't put it down. The main character is likeable and the mystery is engaging. I wanted to find out who Marlon was, and even though the very end is a bit of a let down, the journey there is a fun read worth checking out.

This story keeps you riveted to the book. Mitch is a homicide detective and his sister is missing. They follow the clues, but they can’t find her or whom were they chasing. There are some very suspenseful moments.

If you enjoy reading the "who-did-it" tension and the suspicion-style reading, it's a novel that is difficult to put down! As the designated, narrative speaker for my wife, I was fairly successful in keeping the drama high because Mr. C.M. Sutter kept the story moving actively and thoroughly. I was cautious with the profanity used, however, it did not include any 'F' words, so if reading to yourself (or out loud as I did), you will have a challenge trying to assign all the different voices for…

I loved how from the start the story drew me in. Couldn't wait to see what the next chapter brought. Mitch was bound and determined to do whatever it took to get his sister, his friend and partner back home. And catch the ones who took them.I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys being on the edge of their seat while reading. Cannot wait to read more in the series.

Easy to follow stand-alone. No editing errors, gratuitous violence or drag-you-down drama.Compelling storyline with plenty of twists to keep the reader guessing. Flexible procedures, actions and reactions. Believable characters with distinct personalities and entertaining dialogue.No desire to re-read this story. Run For Your Life is a good title for this Mitch Cannon Savannah Heat mystery because that's exactly what Mitch Canon's sister Marie had to do after she was kidnapped. It was not very smart to kidnap the sister of a policeman who is a homicide detective.

I did like the book even though sometimes the dialogue felt forced. My biggest complaint was the ending(spoiler alert). I wanted to know if they found the other woman and who she was. She didn’t seem important at all to anyone. In real life she would have been important. I know it is a book and not real life but it felt so wrong. Oh and his dog must have the biggest bladder in the dog world. He should have came home to dog accidents all over the house every day. Poor dog.

First, kudos to the author for keeping this to a reasonable length, unlike many authors today. I'm giving it 5 stars, qualified. The reason for the qualifier is about the pace. It may be true to reality, but I got annoyed at times with the fast pace, which I loved, then the excruciatingly slow pace, then fast, then slow and so on. Overall, I loved it but had to skim several times in dead zones. Double story lines at one time was another plus.

This one was hard to put down. The author knows how to build suspense. I'd like a chance at another of his books, though I'm not sure my heart could take it.

This book was riveting from the start. I like suspense and happy endings and it had both. I will definitely read more from this author.

This is a well written and detailed story that flowed very nicely. The main character has a solid personality and everything made sense considering there was lots of action and suspense. I will definitely read the next book with this character.

Mitch and Devon are partners. Cops. Mitch gets invited to a scavenger hunt by a women he meets in a bar, but he has to cancel because his sister is missing. Mitch convinces Devon to go in his place. Meanwhile, Mitch is not having any luck finding his sister. Then he can't reach Devon either, nor the woman. What is going on?

Wow what a great story! Well written with plenty of twists and turns. Highly recommend author and this book. Great characters too.

Fast moving without skipping over details. Ending was easily guessed but still entertaining and kept my interest. A lot of these kind of books don't.
