Purchased to replace the factory rubber hood latch. My rubbers were aging, making the hood flap more than I was comfortable with. These bars are made of heavy metal with a matte finish! You look great! They are quite difficult to install simply because the nuts are in a very tight spot to tighten. I ended up using some of the original parts because they fit better. I really liked how you can adjust the tightening of the fasteners and how reliable they are! I made it so that you have to push the hood a bit for it to click, but the hood no longer flaps and I'm not afraid of breaking it.
