This style is different from others on the market. Pretty durable and stylish. Other reviews state that there is no rubber mold connecting the metal part of the hood. But this item I received has it. I think they listened to the folks who addressed this and fixed the issue which is good.

This is definitely a unique style. I could see and feel that 📦 they were of high quality. They are also much more powerful than the OEM models. I love her and highly recommend her. Edit: I forgot to mention that I just reused the original clasps since they don't have the little "rubber piece" that the original clasps have. (See the last photo)

These fasteners are very strong. Our hood no longer flaps when driving on the freeway. As other reviewers have pointed out, the bottom nut is hard to get to. I have long thin fingers and a 1/4" ratchet. I changed them in about an hour and took my time. I used factory locknuts on the hood as the new fastener did not come with washers and when tightened it started to biting into the paint.wings.I removed a piece of rubber from the factory loop,cut it off and glued it to the fender.

While it's a bit tricky to put your fingers through the fender to hold the nut on the fender piece, it's just tricky, not difficult. I rotated the grille to the side so I could more easily access the nut behind the fender half and get the ratchet and file in there easier. No more flinching when you hit a trailer on a freeway on a windy day. This is a very well made product. I've posted a photo of the tools I used including the 10mm and 13mm sockets. As others have said, it's difficult to get to the screw under the fender. I removed the grille and used long needle nose pliers to hold the screw in place as I started tightening it and it came out quickly. I like the quality, the look and the fact that they are aluminum, I don't like that there is no elastic band like on the series that prevents the hood from touching the body when The hood is closed, the rubber is coming off the stock ones, but there's no way to attach them, so I removed the rubber piece from the stock latches and glued them to the fender where they were before! Really good product. Well built and solid and the price is right. It's pretty easy to install. Looks a lot better than the stock hood latches. I hope the color lasts a long time. As others have noted, you will need to remove the grille for better access. I used a ratchet to remove the bearing locks and a hex wrench and ratcheted needle nose pliers to install them. Nice and heavy. I just installed them. It took me about an hour. I didn't have a ratchet or extensions to fit in the small gap to install the bottom section screw. I'll take the grill. Only took out the top black fasteners and was able to pull the front grille panel far enough to access that bottom screw. I used an open end wrench to loosen the bolt. During installation I applied a piece of tape to secure the new screw. tape on one side. So I can start unscrewing the hex bolt. It's tight but…
