Bought this cat tower so my second cat can also sit on the tower near the window. We already have a cat tower about the same size but a different brand, both cats love to sit on it and fight over it. I bought this one and no cat wants to sit on it or be around. They don't like the way they feel on their paws. I've dropped them on it dozens of times at random over the months, they've had the same reaction each time, instantly getting excited and jumping off. I tested it with my other cat tower brand and they don't bounce and stay in place. Further testing, I didn't let them jump off to see what they would do, to my surprise they tried to climb out the window through the lattice, which they had never tried before. Instead of standing on top of that cat tower, they'd rather be standing on the windowsill where there's barely enough room to even stand. There is no smell that irritates cats so I have to conclude they don't like the way it feels.
