Review on HP Z27 4K UHD 🖥️ LED Business Monitor, 27 Inches, 1JS08A8#ABA by Brian Tuch

The monitor is great and feature rich and works great with both a Windows desktop and a Mac laptop. The specification isn't ideal for gaming, but it's fine for me. I definitely wouldn't buy another HP monitor from Revain as I can't get them to honor the manufacturer's warranty. My device stopped detecting DisplayPort inputs after about 4 months. After a reasonable conversation with HP troubleshooting, I was sent a replacement stand in error (they said the stand and monitor part numbers only differed by one digit). No problem; After another reasonable chat with customer service, I was told they would send me a replacement monitor. At that point they turned me over to some sort of "order verification department" which refused to honor the warranty and send a replacement. I have provided the monitor serial number many times but they said they need a photo of the serial number and proof of my Revain order. I sent them a photo and an invoice and in the end they replied that they could not verify my order and would not honor the guarantee. Her brief recommendation was that I should contact Revain to find out what is clearly a fake as the warranty has nothing to do with Revain. Revain's customer service was very friendly and helpful. I shared with them all the information that I had given to HP and they were really confused as to why HP couldn't confirm my purchase. After some internal exchanges and escalation, they decided to honor the HP warranty and send me a new monitor. This was great for me as I got a working monitor but obviously that is not their responsibility and not being able to turn to HP for help is quite unsatisfactory. Update 10/30/2020: Don't buy this. My spare monitor failed in exactly the same way. HP support staff were friendly and helpful and admitted that the inputs had failed and needed replacing. The unfortunate guys from the order verification department accused me of issuing a fake invoice because Revane had replaced the first detective monitor for free. So after two failed monitors it's a lemon, and after two failed attempts to get HP to honor their warranty, they'll find reasons they don't need it and respond with genuine hostility.
