Amazing quality for the price

I usually do a lot of research when I buy something and buying a whetstone, a wet stone, was no different. I've seen many other wet stone sets that contained stones from 400 to 8000 grit that were the same or less in price, but I wanted quality as I appreciate the knives I have and plan on making into others to invest in quality knives. I chose the Mikarto 1000/6000 set because everything I read seemed to be of high quality. I have to say that so far I am very happy that I just opened the package and read the welcome leaflet. It sounds like the company, right down to James Denham, the CEO, really cares about their product and their customers. Care and usage instructions are different than what you typically see on products from other countries, they are well written and easy to understand. The documentation in the box really makes you feel like you are dealing with a quality company. I will write another review after using the product for some time.

Pros
  • MADE FROM THE BEST MATERIALS This durable knife polishing stone is a heavy-duty, industrial-grade product designed for chefs and all of us who call ourselves chefs. The combination sharpening stone is double-sided corundum, a rock-forming mineral derived from aluminum oxide. While most sharpening sets use bamboo or wooden stands, our products come in sleek, strong, ventilated boxes with holes in the bottom to prevent moisture from warping or cracking.
Cons
  • High Price
