They were definitely almost invisible, but the edges around the earring itself weren't smooth. Their jagged edges made my piercing bleed, the piercing is over a year old so it was amazing. The back sometimes falls out, I was happy to use the back at least on other earrings, but unfortunately they are too big and fall off. You get a great amount for the price.
