Want Soft Gold? Get Peach Puff

I use this wire to make little jewelry pendants. I was looking for a soft gold 28g wire to match some wire that I had bought couple of years ago at a major fabric/craft store, as they seem to be pulling out of the jewelry wire arena and have very little inventory and nothing in 26g or 28g that I was looking for. After reading reviews here, and reading nothing good about the dark and light gold wire colors, I decided to take a chance on the Peach Puff. I'm very pleased to say that the color is…

Pros
  • I love this wire the only downside is that the color is very brassy and looks like fake gold.
Cons
  • The wire may not be suitable for all types of jewelry-making techniques

One of the highest recommendations is the BENECREAT brand!

I've been using the BENECREAT 2 Rolls 20-Gauge Tarnish Resistant Silver/Gold Coil Wire, 66-Feet/22-Yard in Total for a little over 2 years. BENECREAT is by far one of the very best brands. This one, plus Artistic wire. I highly suggest Benecreat because it's exceptional. One of the best recommendations compared to other wire brands! Thank you!

Pros
  • Very nice quality. Easy to use for wire wrapping
Cons
  • The wire can be difficult to cut compared to other materials used for jewelry making

It’s ok for beginners. Not copper.

I purchased the KC gold wire in the 20 gauge. The color is nice and has a look of 14k gold, but the colored enamel peels off when using jewelry pliers to manipulate so to have to be careful with this wire. Upon this wire being peeled, I discovered that this wire is a silver metal of sort. Maybe some kind of aluminum or steel. DEFINITELY NOT COPPER as stated! I don’t appreciate the false advertisement. Anyway, I cut this wire at a diagonal so you can see the cross section, no copper. The only…

Pros
  • Love this wire doesn’t easily tarnish. Great for ring making!
Cons
  • The wire can be difficult to find in the exact gauge you need

SILVER CHIPS OFF WHILE WRAPPING

Overall its ok for the money if you want to practice wire wrapping before investing more money into your wire. That's my feedback!

Pros
  • Good product for handcrafted jewelry.
Cons
  • The wire can be too stiff, making it difficult to weave or bend into intricate designs

Poor quality good for me

I have purchased this brand wire several times, but I am very disappointed in this gold. It has a coating that peels off at the slightest bend and then is discolored.Won’t purchase this one again. Don’t recommend if using for good pieces of jewelry.

Pros
  • I live this wire, its easy to work with.
Cons
  • The wire can be hard to find in some craft stores, leading to search frustration

Does not patina in my review

This is not bare copper wire. I was very disappointed when it did not get a patina like the 18 gauge wire I used. The pendant I spent several hours on is ruined because of it.

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting: The 18-gauge thickness of this wire ensures that it is strong and will withstand the test of time, making it perfect for jewelry making
Cons
  • The wire may not be suitable for creating jewelry pieces with lots of movement or flexibility

Perfect for my project

Bought this for a wire wrap project I have been working on. It works perfectly and was exactly what I needed: A wire that was easy to bend, but also durable.

Pros
  • Great for jewelry making
Cons
  • The wire is prone to breaking and fraying

Revainrating 3 out of 5

More soft than other (similar) wires

It is a lot softer than all of my other 21 gauge wire so it is hard to use it for what I was planning. I will just have to adjust what I had planned to use this for and maybe go with a thicker gauge next time.

Pros
  • Versatile
Cons
  • The wire may not be suitable for creating jewelry pieces with a vintage or antique look

Not the right size on my review.

I wanted to size up from the wire that I have that is a 0.3 mm this is supposed to be 0.4mm yet it is smaller and thinner than my 0.3mm

Pros
  • Silver, Copper
Cons
  • The wire may not be suitable for creating adjustable or flexible jewelry pieces

Love this wire! for my opinion

This wire is great! It looks exactly like sterling silver and yet it's strong and durable. It is absolutely perfect for wire-wrapping. I will definitely order this product again when I run out.

Pros
  • Wire is good quality and easy to work with. It’s on the softer side so for gentle use!
Cons
  • The wire can be prone to tangling, making it difficult to separate from other wires

This is not bare copper

I was very disappointed with this wire. I ordered it to make head pins. It is not bare copper though and it just burned when I attempted to ball the ends with a torch.

Pros
  • Fácil de usar y buen precio
Cons
  • The wire can require additional polishing after use to maintain its shine

Perfect for handmade holiday ornaments!

I used the entire roll creating 18 wire wrapped crystals for my holiday tree and I love how my ornaments turned out! I’ve used this wire before for wire wrapping projects and I have no complaints. I would definitely order it again.

Pros
  • Exactly what i needed! It’s a thin wire so it’s suppose to be delicate. I’m using it for jewelry making.
Cons
  • The wire may not be suitable for creating intricate or delicate jewelry designs

Wire Wrapping: my feedback

I used this product for creating wire wrapped jewelry with other wire I already had. This brand of wire was recommended by another person.

Pros
  • Wide Usage
Cons
  • The wire may not be the right color match for some jewelry-making projects

Granny glasses for my opinion

This wire used to make miniature glasses for Christmas ornaments. It is the perfect size and color. It is easy to work with.

Pros
  • Affordable
Cons
  • The wire may not be suitable for creating jewelry pieces with a natural or organic feel

Beautiful and unique yellow gold. I love it

It's beautiful wire. Easy, strong and soft to wrapp. I love that it's a yellow gold color. Very elegant because it's a brighter tone. To me it's more of a unique kind of gold. I am happy with the purchase. I only hope, the price price was more economical

Pros
  • Size Reference
Cons
  • The wire can be too scratchy or rough compared to other jewelry-making materials

The money on the so-called sterling silver that I wasted is insane compared to this untarnishable amazing wire the other stuff is absolute garbage and it's not even silver and you get nothing for your money it's really pathetic

Pros
  • Made from copper, which is a naturally hypoallergenic material, this wire is a great choice for individuals with sensitive skin or metal allergies who still want to enjoy wearing jewelry
Cons
  • The wire can be too bright and distracting, overpowering other elements in a jewelry piece

works fine, dead soft wire

it worked for my pendants but is definitely softer than most wire. i would recommend a different wire if you need it to be more sturdy.

Pros
  • Soft while sturdy
Cons
  • The wire may tarnish over time, despite its tarnish-resistant claim

It's time to get more.

Yep, I use this wire so much, I'm running out. Heck, I just make my own headpins and jump rings when I have to. It's bendable without breaking. Same as the other reviews, that it's very pliable.

Pros
  • Works good for jewelry
Cons
  • The wire can be too soft, leading to it losing its shape easily

Change the name to red gold

I’ve used this wire brand for awhile now and am happy with its performance but thought I would try the light gold instead of the gold. I would say they should definitely consider a name change to red gold or champagne gold bc this is absolutely not lighter than their gold(which is a yellow gold).

Pros
  • The 18-gauge thickness and pliability of this wire make it easy to manipulate and shape to fit your jewelry-making needs
Cons
  • The wire may not hold up well over time, even with proper care
