Review on πŸ”§ Astro Pneumatic Tool Silicone Adhesive AST 405 by Christopher Gonzalez

Just awesome, forget the manual guy.

I waited for the review to test it with different sealants and larger jobs. This is an absolutely fantastic tool and fun to use. It's built like a brick and simple. I assume I'll never have to replace it. The trigger releases air pressure as soon as you lift your finger, but it takes a short time for the air to escape. However, I've found I'm better at stopping the seal than I am with a handgun. I have found that I can apply a single pea sized drop or squeeze out a continuous half inch bead of thick sealant by controlling the pressure and trigger. Just fantastic. I tried the gun without the pressure regulator on the gun instead of the regulator on my tank. It worked to some extent. There were two problems. Initially I had to run back to the tank every time I wanted to adjust the pressure. Second, the hose between the tank and the gun swells and holds air. It gave me intermittent pressure. This does not happen with the regulator on the gun. The controller is only $10. Definitely worth it. Too much pressure, I tried to push the plug out, causes the rear movable seal in the tube to deform too much. This allows air to enter the sealant, causing the sealant to spatter and spatter. Hand scrub each butt or suffer the consequences. Thin seals are actually harder to control than thick ones, but it can be learned. The seal is located on the trailing edge of the hose, so the hose cannot be cut, bent, dented, or fail to seal. It does not connect to the connection nipple. Order one of these too. $2.50 I found the number of jobs going from hours to minutes. I just want it to set the job, not just seal it. This will be a great Christmas present.
