very good puzzle for toddlers

This is a great first puzzle for toddlers who are just starting to get interested in puzzles. My toddler (now 18 months old) has been playing with this puzzle since he was about a year old and he loves it every time I take it off the shelf. He loves to show me a piece and ask me to name its shape before he puts it in the hole. Pros: - The handles are chunky and easy to grip with a toddler's fist - The details are colorful and vibrant - The "hole" for each piece is color matched so this puzzle can be used to help toddlers with this Match shapes and colors Puzzle pieces are big, thick and sturdy - they stand up to chewing, sucking, falling and tossing - Pieces only fit in their hole so baby doesn't get confused just learning shapes - Puzzles are great for developing fine motor skills Poor: - If your toddler likes to throw their toys (or throws them desperately at times), the size and weight of these puzzle pieces make them a little dangerous - if you have a launcher, you probably want to control him/her plays the puzzle until he/she outgrows the throwing phase!- The puzzle pieces weren't perfectly sanded when they arrived, but it was easy enough to do with San dpaper and a wet rag to repair. All in all this is a very good puzzle for toddlers to learn Veta and shapes. If your kid shows interest in jigsaw puzzles, this is definitely for you.
