I previously had a Corsair HX850. I was having issues with my system with slowdowns, blue screens and shutdowns. I was fed up and trying to figure out what the problem is. I then upgraded my entire system down to the PSU and a few other things. Then I got this EVGA power supply and everything was fine. However, I soon found that my system was slowing down not because of the Corsair, but because of a faulty TV tuner board. I removed the tuner and the system runs fast! That being said, this PSU still performs better than Corsair as it makes my system perform as well as it can. I even added more RAM (32GB) so this PSU helps. I'm relieved to know that this PSU won't turn off (doesn't turn off), runs quiet, cool and clean, and I can overclock my graphics card with no problem, and this thing seems to have room! and more low powered components (because I'm running out of oil I think), many are compromising these days. After a while we may not get or need powerful power adapters. CPUs slow down and weaken to maintain lower power consumption, and many PCs or consoles focus on the GPU to reduce power consumption. This PUS works with everything and does it brilliantly! My Corsair was 80Plus Silver and this one is Gold. It has the latest specs, nice packaging and design. The ONLY thing I didn't like was the peripheral cables, they weren't flat, they were round! You should have known better than to make them round instead of flat. I just got the case closed. Glad I just bought a complete tower! They had to fix it. One more thing: there could have been more SATA cables, but it was enough for me. Yes, you can use Molex adapters, but Corsair doesn't have them either. For the price I got at Revain, along with free shipping and a discount (which seemed to last for years), this was a deal I couldn't pass up! I don't have Crossfire or SLI, but at least I know it could more than handle it if I wanted that option.
