Review on 🖌️ Essential Chinese Painting Brushes for Novice Artists, 3-Piece Set by Kelsey Brown

They arrived quickly and are all I needed for a beginner in sumi-e painting. I'm working (very slowly) on The Four Gentlemen and the middle brush got stuck in my hand most of the time! For those new to Chinese painting, there is a lot to learn! You need a lot of research and practice. There are many different styles and techniques and a very interesting history. Just getting these brushes put me down a path I didn't know existed. It's not like western painting where you try to depict something exactly as it is. Chinese painting flows. Once you've done a few basic touches, you'll find that it's really relaxing. Knowing nothing about them, I have no idea if these brushes are of great quality. My guess is not entirely correct. But they will fit! I know I bought a little "starter" kit for about $15 that came with a cheap ink pen, a decent whetstone, and REALLY crappy brushes. So I know what "really, really bad" means! In my opinion, if you're totally new to Chinese painting, these brushes will suit your needs, at least until you decide if you want to take them more seriously. For those giving 3 stars or less, what do you expect for this price? If you want superior quality, you need to spend at least $50 on a brush. Understand this is for beginners.
