I read another review that said the glossy red trackball looked more maroon/dark purple. This is exactly what I wanted, so I ordered it. I know it's a bit silly to care what color your trackball is, but I really do love the way it looks now. I had that blue trackball that comes with the Logitech wireless, which I never quite warmed up to. Also, this new one just feels better, probably because the blue one is several years old. I wish they had a bronzish one that would go with my retro keyboard, but the glossy red one looks pretty nice with it.
