Strap between rope and bungee not sturdy enough

My return window closed Jan 31st and this broke 2 weeks later. it took my dog a while to get the hang of what to do with it, then she loved it once she did. The strap between the rope and bungee is sewn to each end. Though it looks sturdy, it is not as thick as the rope or bungee fabric and it broke in the middle. I was hoping I could tie it back together but there is not enough of the strap to do so. Too much money for something that only lasted a few weeks and I cannot find a number or email listed for the seller.
