The measurement of the inside of the ring is just under 5.5" and will fit your 6" pot only if the bottom of your pot is smaller than 5.5" (which was a problem for me). It seems these rings were made for pots that are 6" in opening, so they sized down for the ring, in order to accommodate a conical shaped pot. See full review
