Programming became easy for me when I made a simple setup using a 9 volt battery, an on/off switch and two buttons for grounding the programming wires (white/green). Their YouTube videos are very helpful to get you started. You need to be patient and spend a little time on it, but it's easy to do. I have a battery/solar camera to capture time lapse videos of my house construction and I wanted to turn the camera off at night to save battery life. I tried several solutions, but none of them provided stable power to the camera. I used this device with option #12 to allow the camera to work on a stable battery using the trigger option I got from the solar input at dawn and turn off the camera 30 minutes after sunset when that Solar panel stops generating electricity. (I also had to add a diode from the solar panel input to the solar controller). It works great and now the camera gets stable power all day, turns off at night and the battery doesn't lag over time.
